'Lost Memory' Magazine
'Lost Memory' Magazine
96 page magazine spanning 8 years of analog photography.
There is an element of escapism in the pursuit of every craft, but photography holds the unique ability to construct portals into a surreal landscape that mirrors reality. It allows one to harness the narrative of any given moment, enhance it, alter it, and burn a new storyline into a negative.
The photographs presented here each recount a strong yet fragmented memory, long lost over time (much like upon waking, when one strains to remember the details of a dream that has only left behind a feeling.) These images stand out as the ones that were most driven by the meditative solitude of the craft and have persistently stuck in my mind after years of shooting film. Although time has obscured their individual contexts, each one signifies a crucial segue from one moment to the next in my journey experimenting with the medium.
Only phantom connections to the individual images remain, but the resulting collection has the potential to tell a series of isolated stories by providing windows into a fictional realm that lies just beneath the surface.
Numbered and limited to 50 copies.
